Runway Safety – Part II – Performance Based Navigation (PBN)

The EU-India Aviation Cluster is continuing with the series on safety which kicked off in November 2020 for focussed discussions and possibilities to

  • Enhance focused  bilateral collaboration between EU and Indian companies on safety technology and procedures
  • Increase know – how and technology transfer
  • Explore possibilities and strategies for a harmonized safety scheme

The workshop is divided into two parts:

Part II – Performance Based Navigation (PBN)

Time: 15thth April 2021, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM CET (2:30 PM – 4:00 PM IST)

PBN navigation leverages the ubiquitous presence of the Global Positioning System (GPS) allowing airline operators and Air Navigation Service Providers alike benefit from the confidence of the knowledge of the position of the aircraft.

While not direct users, airports and passengers also benefit from predictable approaches, improved minimal and enhanced operations into airports without precision navaids. Whilst PBN can deliver benefits for both accessibility and capacity, it can also enhance safety and contribute to global efforts to reducing runway excursions.

We would be delighted to have you on this workshop to take part at the interactive discussion. Your experience and know-how would be an asset in the workshop.
